White Sox Game

Yesterday we took Owen to his first baseball game! The White Sox played the Texas Rangers. Some of the med students organize this event every year, and I think we've been able to go every year! We went to the pre-game tailgate party and stuffed ourselves with burgers, chips, soda, and cookies, then we went to the game. Owen became so excited with all the ballgame energy around him. He watched a little bit, cheered when the rest of the crowd cheered, and then wanted to run around the rest of the time. He even wore his Chicago White Sox outfit.

Josh and Owen had a little father-son bonding time. Josh told him a little about what the players do and they shared some peanuts too.

We decided to cut the fun a little short and we left during the 3rd inning. Hanging out with a toddler who had only napped 10 minutes during the day then was up past his bedtime doesn't make for a fun time for very long. :) He started to get out of control. But Owen's huge grin sums up pretty well how much fun we all had!

We made sure to get a family picture in front of the field.

(ps- this is my 300th post!)
