My Week

Not much going on these days, and not much exciting to blog about. I figured I'd just write about my week.

SUNDAY: I got to sleep in, ate breakfast in bed, relaxed, went to Stake Conference in the afternoon (we usually have 9 am church) and heard a General Authority speak~Elder Douglas Callister of the Seventy, made dinner, set new goals for Josh and I, clipped coupons, talked to family on the phone.

MONDAY: Worked a long, busy day at work, came home and crashed.

TUESAY: Went to a dr. appointment in the morning. They didn't do much, just questions and a few labs, but in about two weeks we get to find out what we're having!! Then I came home and did laundry and dishes, made lunch, enjoyed Josh being able to come home early, did computer stuff, planned a dinner menu, then in the afternoon/evening went with Josh to a youth activity at the bishop's storehouse, which happened to be an hour drive away so it took all evening and we didn't get back til quite late.

WEDNESDAY: Got up early to take Josh to school by 5:45, then went to the gym since I was already up, took a nap, tutored 1st/2nd grade at Reavis Elementary for a couple hours in the afternoon, then did some grocery shopping, made a stop at the local produce store, relaxed a little, did some reading, made dinner, went to bed early.

THURSDAY: Worked all day, then went to our weekly LOST potluck/party night with fun and fabulous friends!

FRIDAY: Worked a long, busy day, came home to a tasty meal Josh made, then crashed.

SATURDAY: Slept in a little, then headed to the gym in the morning braving the treadmills once again (It's been a while since I've run, I still took it easy though), caught up on some needed cleaning, read blogs, made lunch, and that brings me to the present. Now I plan to read some, maybe work on some crafts, wait for Josh to get home from studying, then we'll have our date night. We'll either go out to the movies or else stay in and watch one of our Netflix movies and order Giordano's pizza. It'll probably depend on if it's still snowing. Before bed we'll turn our clocks an hour forward because daylight savings time starts tomorrow! This means tomorrow will be only a 23 hour day and we'll lose an hour of sleep. (I still think this whole time changing thing is a bad idea and a waste of time. We should just stick to either daylight savings or standard time all year long. But oh well. Thank you Arizona for being smart.) Good thing tomorrow is Sunday and we can take nice nap after our morning church!

So I guess this is a pretty typical week for me- work, chores, some shopping, a little me time, a night or two with friends, a date night. As you can see I have a pretty nice schedule. I love it! Hope you guys have had a more exciting week than me!

Sounds like you had a good week!! I think Arizonans really appreciate NOT having daylight savings time! :)

I'm with you on the daylight savings time thing. I think it's completely pointless... I think we should stay on daylight savings time year-round cause I hate the time change in the fall that makes it so dark by 4:30 or 5:00!

Amen to "Daylight Savings is dumb". Sounds like you had a pretty good week. I wish I had more "me" time -- enjoy it for now.

I think that sounds like a pretty good schedule! I'm still not sure if I'd rather have a few days where I work all day and have other days off or work the same hours each day. Hmm. The past year I've had a schedule that's different each day and I like it, so I dunno. I also liked when I worked 9-5 Mon-Thurs during the summer, but I think I like more flexibility.

About the old maid stuff: I'm totally fine being single & I'm soo not ready to be married, but the thing I'm worried about is all of the guys getting taken! There aren't as many single guys that are older. Unless they're weirdos.

Oh, and the dating is off & on right now. Some weekends I have a different date on Friday and Saturday, and then I go weeks without any. & I've kind of avoided a few guys...I know! I'm horrible.

I totally agree with the daylight savings problem. We always hated it when we were in Ohio, and the people there were always surprised to find out that there are places that don't do daylight savings! Life is so much simpler without it.

We have a satalite clock in our room and yesterday before church, I looked at it and freaked out. I thought we were an hour late. I looked at another clock and realized that it had changed for daylight savings. Stupid clock!!

I bet you can't wait to find out what you're having, I can't wait!!! I wanna go shopping for you. It's COUNTDOWN time!!!

Yeah, Arizona is the best state ever :-)

You just had snow. LUCKY. I left work today and my car said it was 85 degrees. I know it was sitting in the sun. Once I started driving, it dropped to 79 degrees. I had to take Sy to the park. It was too perfect not to.

I wouldn't say your week was boring at all. Enjoy being able to remember you're entire week! Sometimes I can't remember what happened yesterday! Kids do that to you I guess. I know you will love being a mom though!
