Cajas National Park

During our trip to Cuenca we took a day to see Cajas National Park, also highly recommended to us. It's filled with breathtaking hills and valleys, formed by glaciers, with many lakes and lagoons dotted all over. A large variety of flora and fauna exist, and the park is great for hiking and fishing. You could spend days exploring here and still not see everything.

We had planned to do a 4-5 hour hike, but unfortunately it ended up being cold, windy, and rainy. We still hiked, but did a shorter 2 hour hike. Because of the rain we didn't see any fauna either. We still had beautiful views though.
